Whether you are into art, skating, or wanting to get the first look at how maple syrup is made, there is something for everyone.

Sugar Bush Tours and Pancakes

Starts Monday February 19th, 2018(Family Day)!

Come on out to the farm with family and friends to watch the sap be boiled and enjoy some piping hot pancakes, sausage and pure maple syrup!

Take a wagon ride to the sugar bush for a guided tour of how we collect sap, using both buckets and modern pipeline. Be sure to browse around the market before you leave and take some maple syrup or tempting treats home with you!

Hamilton Kids Fest –February 17, 18, 19, 2018

This family day weekend, February 17th to 19th, 2018, children bounce, slide, ride, craft, learn and laugh at Hamilton Kids Fest, sponsored by Telus. Kids Fest is Canada’s largest inflatable festival, bringing a variety of fun and educational activities for all children twelve and under.

The inflatables are blown-up and ready for action, so that children can slide, ride and bounce all day. They range from large slides to toddler appropriate rides. On top of the fabulous inflatables, Kids Fest offers shows, interactive activities, games, crafts and more. The shows include: Hamilton’s own, The Reptile Man, Paul Kennedy; cute and bizarre animals with Hands On Exotics; and Mad Science.

Other activities, for an additional cost, at the 2018 Kids Fest event include: Face painting, ceramic painting; sand art; and more!

2018 marks Hamilton Kids-Fest’s 11th year of offering families a great outing for Family Day weekend fun. Kids-Fest returns to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (beside Hamilton Airport) from February 17th to 19th, 2018. Parking is free.

Activity will take place at the Powell Pavilion. Make sure you come about 15 minutes early to settle in!

Warm up at the Art Gallery of Hamilton with the ones you love! Our special Winterfest Family Day programming includes pop-up tours, art making, and collaborative installations all inspired by work in our current exhibitions: Water Works and Witness: Edward Burtynsky.

Explore a fascinating piece of Hamilton history at Dundurn National Historic Site on Family Day!

On a guided tour of over 40 rooms in Dundurn Castle, discover what it was like to live and play above stairs and work and live below stairs. Visitors will enjoy hands-on activities throughout their tour and sample a variety of historic goodies made in the kitchen. Visit the neighbouring Hamilton Military Museum for a self-guided experience with dress-up and engaging activities, while exploring the historical figures who lived in Hamilton during the War of 1812 and First World War.
