Cayuga Mutual Employee Donates to Essential Aid

Our employees are always dedicated to helping our communities. Shown here is Starr Doleman giving her employer sponsored donation to Raven Van Bommel, Founder and Executive director of Essential Aid and Family Services of Ontario Inc. Raven founded Essential Aid in 2012 after helping a young mom who was forced to water down her baby’s formula in order to make it last until the next pay cheque. She decided then that no child would go without. Over the past 5 years Essential Aid has helped thousands of families through their Emergency Infant & Toddler Food Bank, Christmas Hamper Drive and the pilot project scheduled for 2017-2018 to offer regular monthly assistance for low income families with infants under the age of 12 months.

Essential Aid relies heavily on donations and host several fund-raising projects each year. Coming up on November 5th Mom and Me Event Planning is hosting a Christmas Craft and Gift Show in support of Essential Aid. There will be over 30 craft and direct sales vendors selling amazing items.  Also that day will be a 50/50 draw, a raffle and a bake sale. Admission is $2 and 100% of proceeds will go to the Infant and Toddler food bank. Location of this great event is: The Knights of Columbus Hall 222 Queenston Road Hamilton, ON   L8K 1G6 If you would like more information on how you can help out Essential Aid or where to drop off donations visit their website at: www.essentialaid.ca  or look them up on Facebook. You can also get more information on the craft show or other fundraising opportunities. Thank you Raven Van Bommel for making sure no child goes without.
