With Canada Day just around the corner, we thought we would let you know where and when Canada Day celebrations are happening around us.  This is a sampling of the some of the major areas in our communities.  From all of us at Cayuga Mutual, have a great Canada Day Weekend!

Caledonia

The Caledonia Fairgrounds will be home once again to the Caledonia Canada Day celebrations. Festivities will include a parade, live music, food, shopping, inflatable rides, buskers & entertainment as well as fireworks. There will even be a FREE jumbo Freezie eating contest if you think you can handle it.

Dunnville

Head to Central Park in Dunnville, where they will be hosting a Canada Day event that includes free entertainment, prizes and cake and ice cream. This event will run from 11 am to 3 pm.

Port Dover

If you are a historian, Port Dover boasts the longest running Canada Dal Calithumpian Parade. They have been celebrating Canada’s birthday since confederation (1867).

As part of the celebration there will be a soap box, derby, dog show, parade, live music and fireworks.

Hamilton

Hamilton’s Bayfront Park and Pier 4 park will be hosting Canada Day events this year starting at noon. There will be live entertainment, food vendors, a family zone, artisanal craft vendors and, of course, fireworks.

Burlington

Spencer Smith Park will be having live entertainment starting at noon, face painting, balloon animals and inflatables as part of the family fun zone, a dog show, vendors and fireworks.

Brantford

Brantford will be having their Canada Day celebration at Steve Brown sports complex/Lions Park. Activities will include live entertainment, food, a midway and kid zone, an indoor Made In Canada exhibit, a shopping marketplace and fireworks.

Welland

For those of you Niagara way, the City of Welland will be hosting its Canada Day festivities at Merrit Park. They will have free water activities on that day including paddle boards, pedal boats, canoes and kayaks. For the young and young at heart there will be inflatables. You will also find food trucks and vendors and if you hang out until dark you can watch the fireworks.

Port Dalhousie

Celebration here start at noon. There will be a midway, entertainment, food and fireworks. Port Dalhousie is also home to the Lakeside Carousel. The carousel is only five cents a ride!

Niagara Falls

One of the tourism capitals, Niagara Falls hosts their own Canada Day events. There will be a parade, live music, food vendors, special programming and illumination of the falls, and the amazing fireworks over the falls.

Fireworks can be seen from Fallsview hotels and restaurants!
