Robert Young
Bob Young was a high school teacher that never lost the love of farming. He and his wife Cindy returned to operate the family dairy farm until their retirement in 2008. Bob was first appointed to the board of directors of Cayuga Mutual Insurance Company in 1986. Bob served as chairman in 1996 and is the current chair.
Bob is also a direct descendant of Adam Young who was an United Empire Loyalist. The land on the river flats at Indiana was part of the Young Tract granted to Adam Young and his family for their loyalty to the crown during the American Revolution. The Youngs later moved to York and Bob's branch of the family started farming on Young Road in 1871. He is still on the original farm.
